Defending the Double Wing

Hey Kansas coach,
Do any of the high schools in that area run the true toe to toe Double Wing Offense. Our big district rival runs the Double Wing offense not to be mistaken for the Wing T. They line up toe to toe splits and double team you playside and pull and lead the backside G & T. You can't blitz or penetrate a gap due to their splits. The big 3 for them are Power, Counter and trap. They added Rocket sweep this year so when I put 11 in the box(6-5) they run the Rocket sweep and killed us outside. That pitch is way past the Y on their sweep. If we played a 5-4 they ran power. We had a good season and finished 8-4 but I couldn't even come close to stopping that toe to toe Double Wing. I would greatly appreciate any advice or info. on how to slow it down.

We are in our 8th year of running the Championship Defense Camp. This full-pad TEAM camp consists of six practices over three days. Day 1 drill periods are for Offensive Work with your team. In days 2 & 3, each practice consists of a tackling circuit, and drill by defensive position for 30 minutes. All 6 practices in the camp have a 7-on-7 session for 35 minutes with 1-on-1 competitions for the linemen, and 11-on-11 scrimmages for 35 minutes. Your team will get a TON OF REPETITIONS both on Offense and Defense. Your team will improve DRAMATICALLY!!! READ WHY.... the coaching staff at the camp is Outstanding. They are not only the great teachers of fundamentals, but also very enthusiastic and will make your kids have FUN. Our goals when we began the camps in 1997 were to:

1. Offer a football camp at a bare-bones cost to kids.

2. Offer a Great Camp in terms of the quality of instruction, the quality of competition, the opportunity for teams to improve, and have a great fun element in terms of enthusiasm and self-esteem growth.

3. Offer a camp in which safety from injury is a top priority. I think we have succeeded!!! Many of the schools who have attended have enjoyed great improvement in their programs. Sunflower League TOP League in state

Without question the Sunflower league has got to be the most competitive and dominant of any league in the state. Just look at the teams, their records, titles, and their accomplishments over the last several years.

Who is going to be the team(s) to beat this coming fall in the KAW Valley League? I think Mill Valley and Tonganoxie should be tough again.

Santa Fe Trail and Piper were 2 of the top teams just a couple of years ago now I think they are 2 of the weakest! What happened to them?
